California Cougars Announce 2006-07 Schedule

The California Cougars announced that the team will open the 2006-07 Major Indoor Soccer League season Sunday, November 5th at 5:00 pm in the Stockton Arena against the Philadelphia Kixx. The Cougars are scheduled to play 30 games this season; 15 at home and 15 on the road. In addition, the Cougars will host the 2007 MISL All-Star Game in February.

Season highlights include three contests in Stockton against the 2006 MISL Champion Baltimore Blast. The Blast will make their first stop in Stockton on Saturday, November 26 with the Cougars heading to Baltimore for the first time on November 17.

The Cougars will play seven home games on Saturday nights, five on Sunday nights and three home weeknight games. All of the Cougars home Saturday games will be played at 6:00 pm. Sunday games kickoff at 5:00 pm and all weeknight games start at 7:00 pm.

The California Cougars organization prides itself in being affordable family entertainment; fans are treated to various promotional items throughout the season including replica jersey T-shirts, soccer balls and other exciting offers. The team will host a variety of theme nights and is currently working in conjunction with area soccer leagues to host and promote youth soccer nights.

Highlighting the season for the Cougars, and the City of Stockton, will be the 2007 Major League All-Star Weekend hosted by the Cougars. Activities begin February 8, 2007 and cumulate with the game on February 10. The All-Star Game gives MISL fans the opportunity to see the best players in the league play together on one big night.

A number of veteran Cougars return to the playing field for the upcoming season, including MISL Rookie of the Year Vicente Figueroa, MISL veteran forward Bernie Lilavois, team scoring leader John Ball and Lodi, CA native Dominik Jakubek.

Featuring six teams including the Cougars, the Philadelphia KiXX, Milwaukee Wave, Baltimore Blast, Chicago Storm and the expansion Detroit Ignition will all be apart of the fast paced MISL action.

California Cougars season tickets and flex-plans are on sale now by calling the front office at 209-373-1550. Single-game tickets will go on sale in October. Tickets range from as little as $8.75 on up to premium seating for $24. Season and group tickets can be purchased by calling the Cougars ticket office at 209-373-1550. Single game tickets will also be available at the Stockton Arena Box Office starting October 6th at 10:00 A.M.
