California Cougars Go “Social”
Cougars announce Social Media Presence with Facebook and Twitter Pages, along with Official Blog
Stockton- In their efforts to become as fan and community accessible as possible, the California Cougars today announced their social media presence with their official Facebook and Twitter pages, along with the official Blog of the California Cougars, “Cougar Land”. Fans of the Cougars can now follow and interact with the team both on Facebook (www.facebook.com/cougarland) and Twitter (@CA_Cougars) along with the Cougar’s Official Team Blog “Cougar Land” which can be found at www.californiacougars.wordpress.com.
“Social Media will be the major component of how we interact with our fans from here on out”, said the Cougar’s Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Lee Neves. “Social Media not only allows us to be as accessible as possible to our fan base as well as the Greater Stockton and San Joaquin County communities, but it allows for greater interaction between the team and our fans. In the coming weeks and months our new social media platform will allow our fans to get up to the minute information on season tickets, team news and player acquisitions, game day promotions, and what the Cougars are doing out in our community. In turn, our fans will also be able to tell us how to make their game day experience just that much better, and any other suggestions they might have. Make no mistake about it, this team belongs to its fans, and the people of San Joaquin County in general. When the Cougars ask are you in? We want to give our fans a reason to say yes!”
The California Cougars are entering their 6th year as Stockton’s Professional Indoor Soccer Team. A member of the PASL (Professional Arena Soccer League) the Cougars were PASL Champions n 2008-09 and Semi-Finalists in last year’s PASL play-offs. The 2010-11 PASL season will begin in early November with all Cougar home games taking place at the Stockton Arena.
